Nike - Form Follows Motion

This publication accompanies the Nike: Form Follows Motion exhibition at the Vitra Design Museum. For the first time, the book gives an insight into Nike’s extensive design archives.

In Autumn 2024, the Vitra Design Museum presented the first-ever museum exhibition about Nike, the world’s most revered sports brand. The exhibition and this accompanying catalog mark the milestones in Nike’s six-decade history and explore its ascent into a global brand that is central to popular culture. The exhibition focuses on Nike’s design practice – from the company’s beginnings in the 1960s and the design of its famous “swoosh” logo to iconic products such as Air Max, Air Jordan, Vapor Fly, and current research devoted to future materials and sustainability.
